Dr. Francesca Torrigiani Spagnoli
Specialist in psychodynamic psychotherapy
Italian psychodynamic psychotherapist specialized in therapies for children, adolescents and families, enrolled in two professional registers, the British Psychoanalytical Council (BPC) and the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists (TSP). In the last decade I have dedicated my life to the study and practice of psychodynamic psychotherapy, with a particular interest and competence in working with children, adolescents and families.
My approach is to offer customers a space for reflection and mutual respect in which to explore unresolved issues together. I offer a real curiosity and an open mind to welcome every individual and his difficulties. Every person, of any age, has a story to tell.
My job and my passion are to highlight these stories, helping you to unravel mental states that can be difficult. Each person is unique and there is no valid approach for everyone.
With children, play is an essential part of psychotherapy and with adolescents alternative methods such as the use of images can help them express their feelings.
More traditional approaches, such as dedicating an entire session to speaking, can often be effective for parents who have moments of family difficulty. In any case I make sure that all the participants, individually or in groups, are treated with equal respect, understanding and attention. After the initial evaluation, I can suggest how we can work together for a tailored therapeutic intervention.
